My son

My son was born premature and was in the neonatal section of the hospital for one month. During this time he had neonatal meningitis and was cleared prior to leaving hospital.

However, now is 4 years and 8 months and when he is at my mother's is acts in the most abnormal way, such as spitting all over his body, making funny faces and mimicking someone or the other. My mother says that that she thinks that he is abnormal.

At our place, his home, he is not like this, although he is very naughty. I checked with his kinder garten teacher and she too says that he is well disciplined in school.

I am at cross roads to think why he behaves thus when he is at my mother's.
Please help me with a reply.

Thank you,

You didnt say how he gets on with your Mom does she do nice and Happy things with him , reading, playing games, going walks,if she is busy and he is left to his own devises he could act up for attention. The fact he is differant with you is telling you someting,is there a Granpa there can play a sport with him or someone else, have a chat with him and ask him why he does it ask does Granma play with him , hes old enough to tell you .

Assuming the side of him being perfectly normal and healthy, I would say that he could be acting out, free, and frisky at grandma's.  All children do this.
