Need help

We have a six yr old daughter who has always had rage attacts every since we got her (she is adopted).  We had her medicated a little over a year ago and they calmed down tremendously but then got extremly out of control she was hurting people. We put her in a residential treatment center and after monitoring and med change they said they were going to nuerological test as this could be a form of a seizure.  They will be doing something called beam testing.  Can anyone shed light on what the disorder could be? I should also mention she has an older brothe and younger brother that we have also adopted.  Older brother has been in and out of residential facilities for 3 years.
