Hi, when's the best time to train 3 yrs boy for not wetting at night ? He's already toilet train during the day , now trying to train him when his nap time ...but hving problems to do so when in the night . How to go along with it . Pls advise .
I am raising 5 boys ranging in age from 17 to 18 mos, my 4 year old has now been night trained for about 4-5 months, but we still have occasional accidents. Make sure you continue to monitor his night fluids and diligently make him use the potty before going to bed. Pull-ups are OK for starting the night time training but if you notice him waking up dry at any point, then they need to go. It signals that he has the bladder muscle strength and controlControl Control rx necessary to hold his urineCalcium - urine Calcium urine test Chloride - urine Cortisol - urine Electrolytes - urine Glucose test - urine Hcg in urine Ketones - urine Kidney - blood and urine flow Lh urine test (home test) Ph urine test all night. Get a good waterproof matress pad and be prepared to do lots of wash but when they are ready they will get it. I wouldn't get to nervous yet, the avg age of my boys completely potty trained was around 4.
i dont think you are supposed to train them for that. they stop wetting themselves as they get old enough. my daughter stopped at 3 . i noticed that her diaper was completely dry every morning and sometimes she would wake up in the middle of the night and asked to go potty. boys are a step behind girls with potty usually. i wouldnt rush it. its not necessary. boys have more night time accidents too. i say for his comfortComfort pac with cyclobenzaprine Comfort pac with naproxen Comfort tears and to not put pressurePressure ulcer on both of you, dont do anythign. you will see when hes ready. it just automatically stops.
I dont think it's possible. They just kind of grow out of it. There are always those who swear by stopping fluids at 6 pmPremenstrual syndrome Relieving pms or making them go right b/4 bedtime, or waking them up in the middle of the night for potty times. But it's not training them b/c the night you dont get them up, they'll still wet the bed.
I suggest just getting a good thick plastic cover for the mattress your child sleeps on and invest in many many sheet sets as well
Oh yeah, and him wearing naptime/nighttime pullups is a good idea too. So he doesnt get the wrong idea or feel bad about it, call it his "sleeping pants"
Good Luck
