My son is 15 y/o. He walks aroud like the world is going to wait for him. He is failing in school, does not follow rulkes of the house (regardless of punishment), cutting class (gym) and is disrespectful to me. How do I get thru to him? I have tried to have heart-to-heart talks, I have taken away all I can take away. I refuse to bribe him. Please help!

I of course do not know what you mean by 'refusing to bribe him', but if you mean that you will not establisg quid-pro-quos you are making a mistake. Your leberage is to be found in whatever matters to him, and if he is made to gain access to those things by cooperating with the rules you will see some improvement. In addition, if you have not already done so, you should arrange an evaluation with an adolescent mental health clinician.

Short question, long answer.  To cut the answer short I'd run by the local library & borrow the book/audio book 'Love and Logic' it discusses this exact scenario.
