Normal (?) weight of child

My daughter is 9 1/2 years old, nearly 5 feet tall, and weighs about 122 lbs.  Her eating habits have always been good.  She eats little junk food if any and not much red meat.....lots of pasta .. After numerous monthly bouts of severe abdominal cramping, vomitting and diarrhea that lasts about 3 hours, my doctor believes she may have irritable bowel syndrome.  My question is could her weight have anything to do with her stomach problems -- not her diet, but her weight.  And knowing that her diet is good, (she's now eating more fiber per dr. instructions), is her weight in line with her height?  For an adult woman, it would not be so out of line -- I am 5'3" and weight about the same!  She is a 'big' boned girl, towers over most of her classmates ---  Any insight would be appreciated!! Thanks!!
