POSSIBLE MISCARRAIG

by SMAGNOLIA, Jan 07, 2004 12:00AM
I HAD MY PERIOD REGULAR.  THEN I HAD SEX ABOUT 4 DAYS AFTERWARDS. ABOUT 4 DAYS AFTER THAT I STARTED BLEEDING. WHICH WAS YESTERDAY AT ABOUT 4PM.  I'VE BEEN RELEASING LARGE BLOOD CLOTS EVERY 20 MIN. OR SO SINCE THEN NO OTHER SYMPTOMS JUST THIS RAPID BLOOD FLOW WIHT THESE HORRIBLE CLOTS.  I'M SCARED. WHAT COULD IT BE?

The average ovulation cycle is twenty-eight days, and the egg (ready to be fertilized by the sperm) is released mid-cycle - ie., approximately on day fourteen after menstrual flow commences. As you can see, if we apply the average situation to your own, your bleeding (after your regular period) began at a point which may well have been too early for you to have conceived. However, your own history and situation is what is crucial, and often it's not particularly helpful to compare your own situation with the 'average'. You should notify your doctor, and if you don't have a regular doctor arrange to be seen at the emergency department of your local hospital.

i would suggest going to see your doctor. the maternal and child forum is really great for these kind of questions, why don't you give them a try.

I went to go see my doctor.  He sent me to the emergency room for a D&C but the ER doctor just gave me some hormone pills.  He siad it would, in 10 days, do the same thing a D&C would for my uterus, which they said the lining was peeling off or shredding or something like that.  They said it was pretty common.  I'm kinda afraid of any side effect the pill might have on me.  I very rarely take pills even for headaches (which i don't get regularly at all).
