Passive and short attention span

hi, i have a 4 years old boy. this year i start to teach him some subjects like english, mathematics and chinese. when i ask my kid some questions, he don't want 2 answer me, but the fact is he know all the answer! i got use positive reinforcement on him but no point. i don't know why he knows the answer but don't want tell me? n when i ask him read the text, he don't want 2 read even he know how 2 read, he only will read the text after i read the text 2 him. is he passive or playing fool with me? besides that, his attention span very short. he always disruptted by surrounding n after study awhile, he don't want study anymore.. he is not hyperactive and naughty also. what can i do 2 draw his attention back?

Your son sounds like a perfectly normal four-year-old. By nature they have limited attention; this is appropriate for the age. Does he attend a pre-school of some sort? If so, let then take care of the instruction, such as it is for a child so young. You don't really have to be teaching him at home if he attends some sort of pre-school. Enjoy him and let him learn through the most common way that children of this age learn - that is, through play.
