Please Help

I have tried all the of the information about getting my son of 4 years to go to the toilet eg, reading, getting rewards, getting him to sit on the toilet for five minutes 3 to 4 times a day we do not get angry or shout at him. He will do a pee in the toilet but as soon as he goes outside he will do a BM in his pants as he will be starting school in September I am getting very anxious of what if the teacher would shout at him in the classroom in front of all the rest of the children this would be devastating for him and myself. This would add further complications even getting him back to school.

We decided to pull out the "big guns" to get my daughter to potty train.  We gave M&M's everytime she went.  If she went poo poo, she got two M&M's.  Once she was trained, she eventually stopped asking for the M&M's.

As far as school is concerned. . . As a teacher, I wouldn't be too worried about his teacher's response.  If you work hard this summer getting him ready, that's all you can do.  Most teachers will be understanding if you explain the situation.  Send a change of clothes in his backpack with a plastic bag for dirty clothes.  The nurse will help clean him up if he has an accident.  Children develop at different levels, so I wouldn't be too worried.  Have you taken him to the doctor?  There could be a condition keeping him from being able to go like he needs to.

Good luck and God Bless.

Maybe he needs to be around the other children watching them going to the restroom and get embarrassed for not going himself.  But, looking at the bright side, even if you kept him from this or he still didnt catch on, all children eventually learn to go the restroom sooner or later.
