Poop on the potty - delayed

My son was having major indigestion issues (frequent/soft stools until he was 3.5). As he cannot hold his stools, I trained him for just urine.. and that was easy. But he would poop on his training pants or underwear even after his 4th birthday. I had nightmares that I would never be able to send him to kindergarten. When his digestion got better, he had well formed stools. Sometimes he would have a small portion sticking on his body, before cleanup. On one such day, I removed the training pants, made him sit on the potty, stretch his legs apart, so that it fell inside. I made him BELIEVE that he pooped on the potty. He believed it and guess what he was potty trained, from then on.
