Potty Accidents

My son is 6-years-old and has off-and-on had potty accidents, mostly when he's too busy to go. However, we really haven't had any issues with it now for months. Then suddenly this week he had two accidents at school and one at home. I think it's partly laziness, but I sent him to the bathroom late yesterday afternoon and he just stood at the toilet and said he didn't have to go and then two hours later, while we were at a play, he had an accident! The usual "punishment" is to make him sit outside by himself for a hour in his wet pants, but both in school and at the play that wasn't an appropriate punishment. I'm not sure how to deal with him on this!

My son does the same. Making them sit in it doesn't help anything obviously. My son is 6 aswell and iv realized, having him go potty ever hour - hour and half. Keeps him dry. Also, making him clean himself up helps keep him clean too.
