Pregnancy after c-section

by Adrene, May 05, 2000 12:00AM
How soon after a c-section can you get pregnant again?  What would happen if you got pregnant too soon after?  What is the soonest someone has gotten pregnant after a c-section and were there complications?

Dear Adrene,

This Forum is meant to address questions about child behavior. Raise your questions with your OB/GYN clinicians, and I'm sure you'll receive the information you need.

Even though this is a Child Behavior Forum, I thought I would respond.  I became pregnant five months after having a c-section.  I immediately consulted with my obstetrician for questions and concerns.  There were no complications.  However, you must keep in mind that every woman's body and pregnancy is different and the best source of information would be from an obstetrician.  The experience of others won't determine someone elses in this case.
