Prognosis of Sensory Integration

One more question thank you, They say severe Sensory Integration he is four and gets OT,Speech and in pre-k VE(varing exceptions. Is this a life long disability or can it be overcome with proper treatment, I dont know if it is like autism with no cure? He is showing emense improvements. Thank you once again Beth

Dear Beth,

You can expect continued improvement with the proper treatment. There's no way to tell at this point if he will continue to display some level of difficulty, but if he does it certainly will pose less of a problem. Ask his therapist about this question and what the therapist sees as the prognosis.
