No our church does not focus on that at all.  She is showing signs of depression and seclusion.  Her appetite has not changed (she eats alot).  She has not been abused in any way.  No head trauma either.  She is still a sweetheart and kind to others and doing great in school.  I am just afraid they will admit her for evaluation and I think that could hurt her.  I am taking her to her pediatrician tomorrow so I can get a referral to TX Children's (a specialist).  I am afraid she might be schizophrenic maybe.  I just don't want her to be diagnosed wrong and put on all types of medicine.  I've considered leaving the city and moving to the country and even home schooling her so that she'll get more attention.  Would that be a mistake to do and not seek medical help first?

Depression definitely can be associated with hearing voices. It can be effectively treated. Is there a family history of depression? Schizophrenia? Even though it's scary, don't run away. Instead, devote your energy to finding competent professionals who will work with you and your child and allow you to have decision-making power. They are out there, but may be hard to find. You owe it to your daughter and you will feel awful wherever you go if you don't get her the help she needs.
