Rage, behavior problem of seizure

I was blown away when I came across this topic and the comments that Dee had posted. My son is 7 and had been experiencing the exact same behavior. After countless appointments with neurologist and pshychiatrist he was finally diagnosed with a seizure disorder and was put on Depakote ER. He has only had one minor episode since being on the medication...Thank God! My heart goes out to Dee because I understand totally what she feels. I am constantly wondering if the behavior was a result of the seizures because he would be able to verbalize certain things like "I hate you" but I also noticed that my son's pupils would dialate. He also experience loss of bladder control during the episodes. Once the episode would pass he would be extremely tired, very sentimental, apologetic and embarassed. The last EEG was done in Feb. and the neurologist said that they had registered seizure activity while he slept. He was unable to give me any more information and is keeping him on the Depakote for at least two years. I would like to get him off the medication because the possible liver damage has me do disturbed but I am afraid that the episodes will begin again. Does anyone have any advise for me? Thanks.
