SORES ON THE TONGUE

by Julie, May 24, 2000 12:00AM
MY TWO YEAR OLD SON HAS WHAT LOOKS LIKE RINGWORM ON HIS TONGUE.  I NOTICE THIS YESTERDAY.  IT SOUNDS LIKE MAYBE ITS GOGRAPHIC TONGUE BUT I DON'T THINK THAT IT LOOKS LIKE A MAP.  TODAY I WOKE UP WITH A SLIGHT BURNING ON MY TONGUE AND IT LOOKS LIKE I HAVE THE SAME THING NOW BUT WITH ONLY ONE SPOT.  WE HAVE A CAT THAT HAD RINGWORM PRETTY BAD, ANY CHANCE THAT IT COULD BE SPREAD ON TO THE TONGUE? ANY OTHER IDEAS WHAT IT MAY BE. MY TWO YEAR OLD DOES NOT COMPLAIN OF ANY BURNING OR IRRITATION OF HIS TONGUE AND HIS APPITITE IS FINE? ANY IDEAS?

Dear Julie,

This Forum addresses questions about child behavior, so I can't answer you. Do you have a pediatrician you could call to get some help?
