Seizures when eating?

My 6 year old son, has what looks like myoclonic seizures or drops everytime he eats.  They usally wipe him out and he goes to sleep right after.    His neurologist says that eating and swallowing can't trigger seizures.  Could it be a trigger?  If its not a trigger and they are not seizures then what else could it be.

Thank you.  I will have his neurologist look into this.

I'm assuming his EEG studies have been normal. It would make sense for him to undergo a sleep-deprived EEG and, with his history, it is a bit surprising this was not done.

Has he undergone an EEG (sleep deprived)? If so, what were the results?
