Skin Color

Dear Doctor
I am writing regarding my daughters skin , she was born normal and had brown skin (Indian) . She then traveled with me to London for a year. Where in the extreme cold started developing dry skin.
We applied Jhonson cream to keep her skin smooth . and noticed that it started getting dark from the chest and downwards with very dark near her stomach .
the skin now still has dark patches and dry , her face is fair and has a huge diffrence . When consulted doctor says to apply petroluem jelly to keep that smooth . one doctor told that she has demalnize which is leading to the dark nature .

can you please suggest if there is any remdy

It may be a good idea to put this onto the dermatology forum, go back to the forums page and look where it says Dermatology .,there is a name for this I believe but I do not know enough about it,others here may have more knowledge ....good luck to you
