Sleep disorder in my 11 yr old son

My son has recently started waking up in the middle of the night and is not able to get back to sleep. I am concerned about anxiety, but he tells me that nothing is bothering him. He will be entering a new school in the fall where he will be changing classes, I feel that this may be the problem, but he says, "NO". He has always been a great sleeper up until now. Any ideas?
