Sleeve Biting

My 6 year old son is constantly biting the cuff of his shirt sleeve - I notice this occurs more when around other children - even though he fully participates in all activities - whether at a social event, school or the platground.  Is this a normal occurance or a nervous reaction to something around him?

It does sound like he is nervous in a more social event have you asked him how he feels and ask if he is upset by anything at the school. Talking to him and positive attention mat help, I have heard of this kind of behavior and id does simply go away as they get older and become more self confident Focus ob his positive side.
