Son Pees alot at 4 years old

My son peed in the middle of karate class in front of all the other students.  He is potty trained and he is 4 years old.   I always have him go to the bathroom before we leave the house.   He told me he was scared to ask the teacher.   This is not like him - he has had an occassional accident because I couldn't get him to the bathroom fast enough.

I had to call his doctor because he went before we left to the class and then he sipped on a drink and then he peed in the class.    It is like the liquid goes right through him.   Yesterday he went to visit his grandmother and he kept going to the bathroom alot and I don't know if it because he drank too much or maybe he has a kidney infection.  He said he doesn't feel any pain when he goes.

At night he goes to the bathroom and he has to wear pull up because he might pee the bed.

I agree with Koukla - this sounds like diabetes,  if he's drinking so much.   Or a possible bladder infection,  but that usually hurts.

Best wishes.

I am noticing he does drink alot for a 4 year old.   It was a very hot day today and yesterday.    I am writing down how many times he goes.   I just call the pediatrician.  Waiting for them to call me back.

Take him to the pediatrician.  Frequent urination is a symptom of bladder infection and diabetes.  If you find it is nothing, you may want to watch the amount of liquid he drinks before engaging in a sport.  Karate teachers scare some children
