Son draws over the eyes of pictures

by Daddy77, Sep 30, 2004 12:00AM
I have the feeling this is normal behavior; I may even have read of this before, but I cannot find anything on it.

My son is 4 years old and was coloring over the eyes (with a black magic marker) of all the little kids pictures on a box of his sister's pull-ups. I asked him why and he said he didn't like their eyes.

I guess I just find it kind of... creepy, sorry to admit. But is this normal?

Thank you

Standing alone, this behavior is not something you should worry about. By this I mean that, if your son is doing well overall, an isolated behavior of this sort does not carry much (if any) meaning. Behavior always needs to be see in context in order to figure out if it has any significance. Do you see what I mean?
