Take my son off Risperidone to alleviate elevated Prolactin levels?

My 7 yr old son who is Asperger's, ADHD and has Sensory Integration issues has been greatly helped behaviorally by Risperidone (1.5 mg.day .5 given in the am, 1 mg at dinner) and Concerta (27mg recently up from 18mg) is now coming back with highly elevated prolactin levels (37). Our pediatrician recommended reducing the levels and re-testing in 6 months (to 1 mg over the day).
His labs are otherwise normal. Do I take the advice of our pediatrician or get him off the Risperidone yesterday (my gut feeling) and try something else? Before taking the Risperidone he did have severe bouts of aggression and irritability and we all (family/medical) accredit the Risperidone with being the first line in successful behavior management for my son, so while taking him off of it terrifies me, permanent side effects scare me all the more. Opinion?
