Tantrums among 4-year-old

My 4-year-old daughter throws tantrums every day, usually only when at home or anywhere with my husband or me. I feel like we've tried everything. We never give in to the tantrums, rather we will walk away and tell her to join us when she has calmed down. I have also tried cuddling with her to ease the tension. Both strategies may work from time to time, but her tantrums have not diminished. In fact, I feel they've gotten worse. She throws one at least once a day, if not two or more times. Now she is even throwing tantrums in the middle of the night. Does anyone have any suggestions?
