Temper Tantrum

my little son is having temper tantrums at 17 mths. At first it was once a week, then 3 times a week and it has recently progress to every day. He would throw himself back or on the floor kicking and crying and sometimes smacking his head crying his lungs out. I don't really know what has provoke this kind of behaviour. He has always been a quiet and calm baby. My babysitter said all kids go thru this phase. My question is should I be worry about this sparodical tantrum behaviour? When is it consider an extreme case to seek help?

It's normal,just don't react to his tantrums,turn your back to him ,he'll get over it much quicker if you ignore it.
