Third person

My 3yr old godchild  who I am raising has in the last week started referring to her self in the third  person, as in , Kirice wants a drink of water or Kirice is hungry. She does not do  it all the time but every day she does it more and more. Is this normal or should I start to get worried?

Yes she does use pronoun, as a matter of fact she has been using them for over a year now (she's 3yrs and 3mos) and like most little girls I know she talks a lot.I never tlaked baby talk to her so she understands well and can preform a chain of directions

Sometimes these things can be phases - but I wanted to ask is she able to use pronouns correctly eg. I, my, you, his, her, he, she, them, theirs etc or does she have trouble with them.

Dont be worried, perfectly 'normal'I have heard a lot of children and adults doing this, and perhaps it gets her some extra attention, dont make a big deal of it ,its a phase. Good luck

My daughter went through a phase of the exact same thing.  It stopped just as suddenly as it began.
