Toddler Behavior

I have a 27 month old who doesnt like to sleep ever since she was 1 month old..Am presently bf and wants to stop but she wouldnt let me...She tries to redirect everything i tell her like she sees things in a different way or her own way...She recently was among some other kids and tried snatching things from them and refused to gave them back when asked to, she began to cry and dropping herself on the floor has become a recent thing for her.. I have to scream from the top of my lungs to get her to listen to me..but seldom when asked to read and sing with me she does but she being so mind centered, get shy to do such thing when asked to when other ppl around..She really gives me a hard time being that I work from home and she is my only child and is mainly with me 95% of the time....Help please!

I agree with Encephalomalcia.

I also think maybe what she want is sometime with you. Children somtimes want this, to know everything is centered on them and not on something else. Perhaps take her out for a day on the town to a local child's museum or park.

First of all, you need some time to yourself.  Do you have anyone who will sit for you?  Everyone needs some time for themselves.  Next, don't yell.  To get a toddlers attention try whistling, chirping like a bird, or singing.  My Grandmother always chirped like a bird when she wanted us to stop and listen.  It always works with all her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren etc.  She is 92.  I would sing to my child when she was toddler to calm her down. She was extremely active.  The more calm and happy you are the more calm and happy your toddler will become.
