Traveling Overseas With My Little One

We are hoping to travel overseas with my little one [ 1 1/2] for the first time - it's about 8 + 4hrs flying time. Could any advise me on how should we prepare for this journey to make it comfortable for all 3 of us.

Bring toys, games and food she likes, plenty of drinks, keep her to her sleep schedule if you can and with a piece of luck she will sleep a while on the flight, expect there will be a time differance so when you get to your destination you may find she has to adjust because of that ,I expect there will be other children on the plane so that will keep her occupied aswell, most times they have a trot around up and down the Aisles.Good luck hope you have a good flight .
