Unruly 13 yr old diabetic adhd

I have a 13 yr old grandson that is very unruly.  He does nothing at school that the teachers tell him to do.  He is defiant at home.  He tries not to take his diabetic shots and once doubled up o one.  He is about to cause his parents to split.  It is so sad.  It is killing the whole family.  Do you have any suggestions?

Poor kid he has a lot to contend with, I am assuming he is on meds  perhaps get the dosage or see if they need changing I do know that the meds for ADHD can have side effects that make children act out  ,you may want to google it for further information, put the med in and side effects .If he is on shots for the diabetes,.there may be some interaction.Speak to your Doctor further , maybe some councelling for him would help and help the parents to interact with him .Good luck
