Whiney Twin

Whiney Twin

I have 21 month identical twin boys and one of them is extremely whiney and seems like he's angry all the time. The other twin is more laid back. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING is a reason for him to whine and cry. Sometimes he throws a fit out of nowhere for no apparent reason. He recently started running off into a corner and banging his head on the wall.  He's not speaking yet at all.  Is he acting this way because he can't communicate with me?  He gets incredibly jealous when I hold his brother....I just don't know what to do anymore..Can you help me?

My twin boys are not identiacal! but I have experienced very similiar behaviours, even to the extreem! Kaleb the youngest by 2 minutes used to scream kick and fight constantly! MY 1st twin Connor gave up breast feeding at 10 months old because Kaleb would kick punch hit or bite him, connor just gave up! Kaleb untill 2 years ago used to have gigantic temper tantrums! Kaleb from 3 months old used to hold his breath and go blue if i left him for longer than 2 minutes, then there would be vomit every where! with twins well my twins I realised i had 1 very patient understanding child and 1 very dominant and demanding child and that demanding child i couldnt leave! at all! and the understanding one, well im makeing up to him now there older, I have heaps to say but trying to put it all down quickly what ive experienced and are still experiencing is hard i would love to talk to you and other twin mommies

Isn't it funny how different two twins can be!!!  I'm not the mother of twins but the wife of one.  I married the "hard" one.  All laugh about it now but I do think my husband grew up feeling like he wasn't as good as his brother.  Kind of sad.  But he was the more difficult child from what I understand.  I guess even though they are twins, you have to treat your two boys differently due to their unique personalities.  I think there is a special group for parents of twins-------  look under groups on the forum page (it is above the expert side of the page.  You'll get an alphabetical index of groups you can participate in).  Good luck with your boys.  Motherhood is HARD work!
