Why does my son eat "fuzzies"

For a while now my 2 year old has been eating fuzz. He picks it off the carpet, his pull ups, blankets, the cat, anything that has fuzz on it. I can't seem to get him to stop. Help!

Such behavior (eating non-food items) is called pica and it can be difficult to stop. It's important to maintain eyeball supervision of your child and, at any sign of attempting to eat something that is not food, place him in time out.
