bathing my baby

my son is 1 month old. when can I stop giving him sponge baths and start using his tub to give him a bath?

Hi, I know when my son's ambilical cord fell off, I then started to give him tub baths.  I bought one of those bathing seats where the baby can sit in, placed it in the tub, filled with some water, and life was then much easier.... hope this helps:)

Im  I forget what it is called but when they are born they put something on there belly button I think it's yellow when that falls off then you can give your baby a bath. I had my last baby 5 years ago so I don't know if things change. I think it takes 4 to 6 weeks to fall off.  The nurse should of gave you directions what to do.

My daughter is 7 weeks old and has been bathed in her tub since she was born.  It has a big sponge to lay her on so she can just chillax. She loves it!
