bedtime vomiting

My 2yr old has all of a sudden began to vomit when put to sleep at night.  She's crying and scared to death and repeats "dark", "dark".  Each night we do our "routine" which has never been a problem and the last 4 nights has been putting her in bed and within 3 minutes she's ALMOST hyperventilating and then throws up.  We've now let her fall asleep on the couch and then put her in bed but I don't know why she's behaving this way?? The books say routine, let them cry, ect...but nothing addresses anxiety so bad the child vomits each night.  Can someone help me and tell me how I should handles this.  I don't want to start letting her sleep with us!!!

I am having the same problems with my 2 year old daughter right now!! My daughter points to the door and says "no, no" when we put her to bed. It seems like she is really scared all of the sudden. She is also waking up once or twice at night and won't fall back to sleep without momma there. I am getting tired of sleeping on her floor or on the couch every night... Did you ever figure out a solution to this problem?
