Is there a problem with her taking her time to eat, dont feed her she is 6 year old ...let her be slow many childen are if its the morning rush time then set the clock earlier so she has time ..could she also be seeing the other children getting more attention and thats what she is seeking, make sure you give her plenty of attention and focus on her positive side ..Put her food out dont get on her case, plenty of time and dont rush her ....

she has been tested for anemia and she is fine. The problem is she puts the food in her mouth and refuses to chew them down.she takes forever to finish one spoonful of food. i dont even give her alot to eat because i know that her tummy still has to adjust. its just bothering me because i have other younger children who are eating well and she wants me to feed her. i think that for her age that is just plain rediculous, but i still do it because atleast she will manage to finish her food. she just wants to eat all her food dry and doesnt like it when i add sauce or anything.i dont know what else to do. im really worried because she is not eating like a child of 6 should be eating.

Could you out of concern be asking her to eat all the time , making an issue of it , sometimes we Moms do that ,we want them to eat, drink, wear warm clothes when its cold but they think its 'warm;try saying nothing , make sure you have tasy and nutrious food in the fridge .Some children dont take well after being sick to regular meals ..let her take her own time .do not make too much of it....good luck .and Yes check her out for anemia .

Has she been tested for anemia?  That will make a child loose their appetite,  and often follows surgery.
