boy is moody and challenging

5 year old boy (07/03) is either sweet and loving or challenging!
i notice it most when he is tired.
he yells, throws things, bites, hits, calls names. tells me he is going to run away.
he is very argumentitave.

what i do?

my husband was diagnosed with leukemia when he was 2. he has , my son, come a long way with his behavior. he was eating his skin off... nothing seems to work with him. any suggestions?

i use the book  1,2,3,magic...

he is so challenging he is hard to like.

we went to play therapy for awhile, but it did not work or fit it to my schedule. keeping my husband alive came before therapy...
