child biting

My 17m old has recently started biting his cousin. Wr livr together and whenever my son gets mad/frustrated,he bites. So hard he leaves welts. I give him timeouts and tell him no aand explain to him that it hurts and us a nono. How do I get him to stop biting?

You continue to do waht you have been doing. Atthe smallest sign of aggressive behavior, biting or otherwise, place him immediately in time out and simply say: 'No biting (hitting, kicking, eyc.)'.
