Hi, i havea 30mth old daughter that snores very loudly and i mean very very loud. one can hear her in the next room snoring and on occasions when she sleeps with us she has woken me with her snoring. i dont know if this is a problem cuz i dont think its normal for a child to snore this loudly. she's not overweight but she does love to eat. Please let me know what i can do. Thank you and have a nice day.

Does the snoring occur in every sleep position or can he get her to change positions and the snoring will cease? Does it ever seem like she is having difficulty breathing amongst the snores? How is her behavior during the waking hours? Is she tired? I would follow your "Mommy Gut" and talk to her doctor about it. If there is one thing I have learned (I am a first time 40 year old mom of a 27 month old boy) ALWAYS listen to you "Mommy Gut". It will not steer you wrong. Good Luck.

My friend's toddler had this. His adnoids were too large. They wound up having surgery and removing the adnoids (they might have removed the tonsils too. I don't remember).
It worked! He never snored again! And he used to snore as loud as a grown man! He too was not overweight. I'd get her checked by an ENT specialist and see what they can do.
Best wishes.
