child still climbing into bed with mom

i pose this question to seek out any pros and cons that may face my 11yo daughter. 50% of her time is spent at her fathers, the other with me(mom). She has a therapist, fyi. she will still climb into bed with me some of the nights she is home. her father put a stop to her doing that at his house as soon as he got a girlfriend,so she stopped trying.  do you think there is any advirse effect from a child needing to make sure mom is still there??

The question is not whether it makes sense for a child to seek reassurance that mother is still there. Of course that is fine. The question is whether that goal should be achieved by an eleven-year-old sleeping with her parent. My opinion is that, in general,  this is not healthy for a child and does not contribute to development of age typical autonomy. Is it the end of the world? No. But I don't think it's the best way to promote individuation, particularly because she is in the pre-adolescent phase of development.
