There's every indication that your daughter is doing well. This may not seem reassuring to you, but just continue to converse with her in a normal way. You needn't do anything special, and particularly do not try to 'force' a conversation. It's likely you are 'over-worrying'. Enjoy her as she goes through this, and future, stages of her development. Nothing in your description indicates cause for alarm or even concern.

When I pick up my son from preschool I have the same dilema sometimes. I will ask him and he will go hmmm, hmmm, hmmm. So I will say to him "Did you make something?" and he will say yes and then it will go from there. "Did you play outside?, "Did you read a story?", "Did you make a new friend?" etc.
I am obsessed with child development since my son was delayed and I did read somewhere recently that this is common at this age for them not to remember everything since they tend to "live in the moment"my son is also 3yrs 7 months. Hope that helps.

I wanted to wait for the Doc to answer this question because I'm curious how he will answer it.  How about the ADOS?

Yeh I'm was waiting for the doc to, but you know us women we cant keep our mouths shut. It turns out the doctor I am seeing is not trained in this (thank you for telling me that only certain people are trained in this, I called them as soon as you told me that) I am still going to see her thought cause I need someone to direct me on the "correct" amount of supplements to give my son, I have been kind of winging it.I pretty much decided I dont want to do the ADOS. Really whats it gona matter in the long run. I know he will always be a "work in progress".
I have been readig alot on Autismland, she is such a poet, bless her heart.

Yeh, I have to agree with the doc. It seems like you are "over worrying". Have you been reading alot of the post on this website?

Good for you.  Don't let anyone who is unqualified give an assessment.  Also, your right.  It doesn't really mean anything in the end.  You may also like this blog about a 6 year old named Bud.  I see a lot of my son in Bud.  http://momnos.blogspot.com/
