Is your son otherwise developing in a normal fashion? If the tics are minor and do not interfere with his functioning, you needn't be overly concerned. However, it would be prudent to arrange an evaluation with a pediatric neurologist to clarify the diagnosis (likely TS) and learn about options for treatment. There's no need for alarm - this is a treatable condition, though it is true that developing the proper pharmacological plan can at times be a challenge. This is particularly so if there are any other conditions alongside the TS.
