effects of respidal

I adopted my grandson who is now 4 yrs old he has been on 3mls of abilify for almost a year and his doctor wants to change his meds to o.5 mls of respidal for aggresive (aggressive) tantrums and fixations. His diagnosis is PDD possible aspergers he shows strong asperger symptoms. My concern is the side effects of this med for such a little guy?
