excessive crying in my one year old son!

hi i have a one year old son and he is usually always in a good state you know he is always very happy and very vocal and loves to make others laugh. Now i have acknowledged the fact that he has separation anxiety but he is very close with his great grandma so i can leave him with her and he is usually very good for her but the other night my husband and i went to the movies with a couple friends and when i got home she said he cried for two hours straight and there was nothing wrong with him she checked his diaper and tried to feed him the whole nine yards but nothing was working and it has Ben about two weeks since this has happened and then today i experienced the exact same thing and i just tried everything and he wouldn't stop crying but this is all new to me because other that the last time this happened i have never seen him act like this before. also the whole time he was crying there wasn't even tears cumming out so it was like he was just having a fit but this is not like him at all please help and give me some insight on what you may think might be wrong and what i can do to help or should i take him t a Doctor and talk to them about it..

You could call the pediatrician to see if the drs office has any advice. But please know that children go through a stage at this age where they are extremely loathe to be away from their primary caregivers. It is a bonding phase that is important to go through. It will pass-- but you should call the dr just to make sure you have all the bases covered.:)
