getting my baby back to his routine

getting my baby back to his routine

My baby is 3 months, He use to sleep for 4 hours on the first long stretch of sleep at night, than would wake up 3-2 hours later for the rest of the night. which was not bad. Than my husband started laying baby on his chest and would fall asleep with baby on his chest, after the first long stretch of sleep for baby, to see if baby would sleep longer, which he did. Than my husband decided that this was very uncomfortable and dangerous. So than the first night after my husband stop putting baby on his chest to sleep, baby did fine for his first long stretch as usually baby sleep 4 hours fine, than when baby awoke I feed him and put him back down to sleep and than it started baby would wake every hour till morning, I am almost sure he is expecting my husband to lay him on his chest to sleep for the rest of the night like he use to. Please help what can i do the only way he will sleep longer than an hour is if i put him on my chest to sleep, but I know that is way to dangerous especially that baby will start rolling over soon.

Your husband started something which all babies love comfort whilst sleeping and yes as you said it is dangerous, but thats what he is use to now so prepare yourself for some sleepless nights whilst he gets use to daddy not being his comfort blanket,he will get use to it in a few nights,we just cant help but ruin our little ones can we i was the same, but all these new rules that comes out are annoying years ago thats how you used to let a baby sleep was on its belly, put himon his back if he turns there isnt alot you can do,my daughter is 20 months old and have always loved sleeping on her belly just keep the bed clothes loose so they can move with the baby
