Head lice do not like being disturbed, so you get the metal tooth comb and you comb all the time, you also have to change sheets and pillow cases, its a lot of washing, the lice meds dont always work but combing them out does work, make it a project , get everyone in the family combing she could get infected by others, also keep the combs sanitised...trust me ...comb comb comb and wipe the lice out ...
I have a 6 year old that has had a run in with head lice and thesick kids hospital said that you can use vinegar and cooking oil it seems to work.
There is some none toxic lice shampoos. I don't know if they are safe either. I'd call your doctor.
