Hi, my son was a very headstrong kid his only 4years old but his really a head pain for me,he always push wat he wanted,even if i say no, he always want to break my rule,he always start the fight with other kids even his the younger one. When im away he fight to old even to his father, he punch and slap and kick the older 1 when im away. thats why i always punish him i slap a belt to him. Sometimes even if u say his a good boy he still never follows,he is very moody.i love him very much but sometimes i almost forgot that i love him because his very headstrong kid and his not suppose to be like that, i dont want him to be like that afterall his only 4years old. Sorry for my english. But some 1 help me pls.
Using physical punishment is not going to help, as you can see. You would be wise to stop that. If anything, it will make him more aggressive and teach him that when you are angry you should be aggressive. Instead, carefully read Lynn Clark's book SOS Help for Parents (see www.sosprograms.com) and follow his guidelines.
