please help i have been told by a doctor that my 3 year old is doing what a 3years old do here is what he like yelling all the time ,wont do what i tell him,hit me,throw things and some time at me,want to be with my mum all the time throw him self down and take a long time to stop crying ,bite other kids if they wont give him what he wants,wont go to bed when i tell him wants to sleep with me ,wont sit and eat at the table, wont listen to me ,he is the first child he has a brother my ex walk out when iwas 6 months pregnant with he brother it has been now 12 months that he father walks in when he feels like see him so i dont no if that what is wrong with him he has also been in daycare for 12 months two  please help i have try all things putting him to he room sitting in a room taking things off him dont no what else i can do .

I am sorry ,this is a trying time for you, it could be that you do not have enough rules that he needs to listen to, and you have to be consistant with him. It is not permissible for him to yell at you, so you use the time out method when he is throwing a tantrum, find a place , a cushion, a chair on the stairs, you take him there ,no words, no yelling, and sit him down tell him he has to stay there until he is sorry, then you walk away, he will get off, so you take him back ,over and over if you have to. Eventually he will realise he has to stay there he will say sorry ,give him a hug and alls well. sometimes if you are yelling he will yell, he is learning it from you, so quietness is a good thing .When its bed time no going to bed with you, take him into his room read some stories to settle him and leave the room, if he comes out quietly take him back ..Consistantly ....you take control, however remember children like to play it is important to have fun with him, board games, outside activities , get dad playing ball with him .its called FUN.  Good luck
