help me, 2 yr girl shyness

My 2 yr girl is fine in everything, but she is getting shyness and putting her fingers in her mouth when we go outside and also sometimes she is shy before her dad also, its hurting me a lot , i want my girl to be brave. please suggest me in this regards why that shy comes and  how to getrid of shyness. thank you

expose the child to more people, maybe she doesn't have many other kids around and doesn't know how to socialize!!!

I think you need to read "Please Understand Me".  I've put a link here for you.  It's a great book,  VERY easy to read,  and it has the Myers Briggs personality test inside, in a couple different forms.

Some people are extroverts,  some people are introverts.  It's just a thing - some people are short,  some people are tall.  

You can't "get rid" of part of her basic personaity,  but you can help her enjoy a really full life with great friends and interests.  

There's a whole section in this book about your parents "painting" a personality over your real one - they wanted a more "down to earth" chlid,  or a more "artistic" child,  a more feeling or more judging child,  and it's a struggle because the child has to change personality.  Like,  you become left handed instead of right handed.  It's a huge struggle.

Best thing for her confidence is a mother who loves and cherishes her and doesn't try to change her - give her lots of praise,  and lots of support,  and point out things that are wonderful about her.
