I'm not aware of any specific links...but if you think about how thyroid hormones effects virtually EVERY part of the body...it makes sense that it would. I know (as an adult with hypothyroidism) that hypothyroidism causes "brain fog" (difficulty processing information) and fatigue along with a host of other symptoms. Brain fog and fatigue for me makes me irritable. I imagine a child dealing with it would be less able to control their response to these symptoms and that could easlily result in acting out/temper tantrums etc

       ChristineMP is right on - it will make a huge difference in child behavior.  It is also easily  detected by a simple blood test.
