Charlotte, this may be bigger than you can tackle on your own. You may need some outside help Sometimes stealing is just as addictive as any other addictionDrug abuse and dependence like alcohol or drugs. A lot of people who steal don't even need to, the have the money, they just have the compulsion to do it. I saw a show on this one time. Most of the people who were stealing were very lonely, insecure people. I think you should ask your parents if you can find a therapist who is familiar with this type behavior who can help you. There are many who would accept whatever insurance you have, if not perhaps you can offer to help pay. Let your parents know that you really want to change and are willing to work on it with some help. If they see that you are sincere, they will probably be more willing to help. I wish you the best.
