inderal during pregnancy

by KJ2, Oct 22, 2001 12:00AM
My daughter is 11, very bright, social, athletic. She has a learning disability (name unknown) diagnosed by a PhD that specializes in adolescent learning problems. It takes her about 2 x's as long to retain information as it does other children her same age. She is quite behind in most academic aspects. My best understanding of her problem is that Lobe A & Lobe B of her brain do not directly communicate, rather the information is processed through a round about path. She has a very difficult time with writing skills & patterns, however, she is a dancer & can remember dance patterns with ease. I was perscribed Inderal during the last 10 wks of my pregnancy w/her due to servere migraines w/complications. I know Inderal is beta blocker & wonder if that could've contriubuted to her problem & development.  Your thoughts & suggestions?
Thanks, kj2

I am not aware of any documented association between Inderal use during pregnancy and the development of learning disabilities.
