irritation in my toddler

My younger child(boy) is two and half. I am a working mother who is out of home from 8.30 to 6.30, monday to friday.In my absence, my domestic help,a boy takes care of my children.my elder one who is five and half is also at home because of his summer break in school.My husband is also working.
                                                          suddenly i have noticed that my younger son has become very irritable. he cries for no reason. on saturdays and sundays when i am home, he throws much more tantrums.he has become stubborn in nature and starts insisting on anything he wants.two days back,he scratched his face so badly.
                                                          Why my child is behaving like this? I am getting confused and worried? pl help.

It sounds as if he would be happier if you were around more or his Dad is there no way you can adjust your schedule. How old is your sitter, ? How do your children react to the sitter have you observed them together could there be any problem there, remember as you are not around for many long hours the sitter has to look after and do evrything a parent would do. Do the children go out .school, playgrounds fun, sports, games.
